yay, spain!
Apr. 21st, 2005 23:28i've told myself that every bit of bad news or general bitching i post has to be followed by something good. if i dwell too much on negative things, i end up in the depression doldrums, which is a horrible place to be.
spain's lower house has just passed a bill to legalise gay marriage. the upper house is very probably going to follow suit.
this bit of data makes me happy: In an opinion poll on the issue carried out by the government-run Centre for Sociological Investigations last June, 66 per cent of Spaniards favoured legalizing gay marriage, while 26 per cent were opposed.
[edit] if you (like me) don't know much about the new spain,
asciident has pointed to a great overview.
