i'd never have it in a house of mine (or a boat), but for some reason it appealed. probably because of the depth -- the glass itself isn't coloured, the colour is on the backing.

did i mention the new rona is open? it's lovely to have a large hardware and lumber store just 10 min from the house.

Definitely the kind of thing that's worth admiring with someone else responsible for it. I like the idea, though.

Pretty. I love to ogle in tile stores (even if the really purty stuff either requires an entire outre house to go with it or is $100 a square foot). Are you sure the color is on the back? I thought some of those glasstiles the color was diffused throughout -- I particularly love from a distance the ones with reflective material on the back...

yeah, i'm sure -- i picked up the samples because i was curious. on some glasstiles the colour is throughout, but on these it was on the back, which gave a really nifty effect; nicer than the colour-throughout ones IMO.

my inner decorator loves creating fantasy rooms by wandering through stores with flooring and tiling and the like. in another life i might do this professionally.
