that's -2 degrees fahrenheit. we're breaking all sorts of records this year. and finally, we too deserve the title of "frozen north". these are ice crystals on the wall of the landlord's "missile silo". they were huge.

i finally have my hardware back together again, so i can catch up on a few days of missed pictures.

these hang in front of the kitchen window. the most impressive ones hang on the woodshed -- they're as long as i am tall.

at cat level

we got a third load of snow today, and only some of the first dump melted in between. looks like we'll have a white christmas, the first since we moved out here.

the cats are very much not happy with this state of affairs. we put the litterbox back into service.
