the US house of representatives voted yesterday to remove the patriot act provision that allows federal agents to examine people's book-reading habits at public libraries and bookstores.
apparently 38 conservative republicans have found their backbones!
of course this might not result in anything good since bush has already threatened his veto, but hey! every little bit helps in standing up to those who're willing to sell our liberty for the appearance of security.
