i just dropped the paramour off at the airport and booked a rental car in toronto. father is in hospital with massive heart failure.

frantic activity to organize everything distracts temporarily from shock and worry. now that i am done with that, i'm sitting here shaking. i hope for a safe trip, and for J to be as ok as can be. please.

I hope so too. I'm parsing this to mean the Paramour's father is the one with the heart failure, and not your own father. But whichever it is, I hope for the best.
