piranhaback is slightly better. i only wish i could take a nice, warm bath -- this bathtub is not built for anyone over 6 years of age. thanks for the good wishes!
good day despite achy back -- went to lapidary meet and finished my first cabochon (pictures come daylight). it turned out really nice. all the old connoisseurs admired it. i am excessively proud of it, *little grin*.
afterwards the paramour and i went to lila's café to enjoy some foodstuffs: meat lasagna, spinach-n-feta quiche for me, and the real reason why we go there -- they make the best crème brulée on the island. also finally got a new battery for my watch (CR6012 so i remember next time).
then went home to do work. i puttered around some in the garden towards sunset -- i think i have improved the soil in the back enough to actually grow decent sugar snap peas. also sieved some soil for the front, next to the raised bed; i want to move some of the herbs i have in pots into the ground.
the backyard looks good. this will be the first year that i'm completely on top of the blackberries and other, lesser weeds such as stinging nettles. and there'll be veggie beds.
