ruby -- now this is approaching the sort of PDA on which i might be happy to read ebooks.

via gizmodo. they were wondering whether anyone would want to use it. hell, yeah. you can keep the camera phones over which everyone seems to be salivating. i don't want one; the form factor is all wrong for a camera, and the screen is way too small on them, and everything still calling itself a PDA. i don't want to browse the web from anything that tiny.

I love it. Would rather it ran something other than WinXP though. Still, there'll be a Linux variant for it within three months of its release.

Any idea who makes it, or what the company's URL might be?

nope -- intel showed this off at their developer's conference. it's based on their new mobile yonah CPU. and it does already run linux; i got that from a japanese site that talked about it. it'll be a couple of years yet before this becomes reality, if it does.
