I really really like this. What is it? This color combination has been fascinating me lately, in fact I bought some lapis rectangles last weekend. I've been feeling drawn to this shade of blue and gold for awhile for some reason.

Yes. pretty, and desperately inviting questions about what it "actually" is.

It looks almost like a wall that has been painted, worn & repainted. Or like some mineral or other rock-like substance. But those are just guesses.

if only i knew. it's one of a series when i just wandered around letting textures reveal themselves to me, and i didn't keep a log. usually that sort of yellow means that it's a piece of old road pavement with the yellow line deteriorated, but the blue indicates it might be a wall. and yet i don't remember a wall like that, and the next photo is of a rougher texture also with yellow that's more clearly of an old curb.
