Cessna 208 Caravan Amphibian take-off; the paramour's ride to SIGGRAPH. beautiful day for a flight on a puddle jumper. it takes 2+ hours to get to downtown vancouver by ferry + bus, this cuts it down to 20 min. it is quite the puddle jumper too -- the largest single-engine turboprop floatplane still in production; can carry up to 9 passengers in addition to the pilot, but apparently can make a profit with only 4.

I think I'd enjoy flying on one of those, but am unlikely to have the chance (given where I live and where I am likely to be going).

It's the first float plane I've ridden in which had individual air nozzles for each seat. True luxury!

My favourite part, though, is that the seaplane terminal was located smack dab between my hotel and the convention center. Can't get much more convenient than that.
