pacific chorus frog pseudacris regilla, native to BC, apparently quite loving my rainwater can. scale -- he's about 5 cm long as he sits there. or she. i have no idea how to sex frogs.

Froggy may well be cute, but I'm going to compliment you on photographic technique. Wow. Especially if the bucket really is that colour!

the bucket really is that colour. well, close to -- the photo is a bit blue-shifted, because that's what this camera does in these lighting conditions.

That is a spectacular photo, orders of magnitude better than any frog shot I've managed to get.

Pseudacris regilla, by the way, is the only frog in the world that actually says "ribbit". That people all over the world associate "ribbit" with frogs is due to the influence of Hollywood, where P. regilla is the most common local frog.
