[*] not really. technically "alpenglühen" is indirect sunlight reflected by snow, water, or ice particles distributed low in the atmosphere; the sun itself is actually below the horizon. this image depicts very early sunrise instead. but it reminded me. i haven't seen true alpenglühen in a long time.

That low-angle light is so pretty, and you captured it nicely. We have a few trees whose leaves light up in the setting sun for a similar effect, but darned if I can get it recorded (I almost said "on film").
