when crafters go wrong

so i was playing around with some random yarn, crocheting without thinking much about it, increasing and decreasing to ruffle and sculpt, and i don't quite know how it happened --

OMG flamenco! whatever came over me?

i found this doll on the street some months ago, cleaned it up, and just had it hanging around waiting for something. i am not into dolls, usually. well, she's ready to dance (maybe in some white satin shoes instead of the immensely colourful ones she came with :).

I was making a dishcloth the other day, as a small, portable project, unlike my main projects...and then I turned it into a hat. It's pretty cute, actually; I just need to weave in the ends. But I don't know what I'll do with a blue and white cotton beret. Maybe enter it at the fair...
