on 2009-12-30 17:01 (UTC)That does sound marginally less frustrating than my habit of reading extremely trashy romance novels, of which I suppose I read a terrifying amount. Perhaps I should switch.

on 2009-12-30 19:50 (UTC)add to it that in genre m/m i can almost always get what i want in electronic format (very little is published only in print), and it is generally cheaper than buying paperbacks, and i buy much more m/m now than any other genre. trashy romances in general seem to do extraordinarily well as e-books.
the main reason i am posting my hauls is that a lot of m/m authors are upset about piracy, and i want to show that we actually BUY, and do in fact buy more after being exposed to the genre via filesharing.
by now i am totally sold on ebooks. i convert everything i buy into an open format, so that technology changes won't leave me with DRMed crap that can't be read by anything anymore. thousands of books fit on a tiny SD card or USB flash drive; easy to back up. and i can search them. i want my entire library in electronic format now.
