it was drizzly today, but not delugey, so i continued working in the garden. last year i paid for not prepping much; worst winter ever, and i lost a number of plants that can normally make it through our mild winter. this year all tender plants are either potted and taken inside, or protected outside. and the garden is cleaned up. i want to get a bale of straw, but even if i don't, things will be ok.

feeling quite accomplished.

The foreground/background colour separation is really quite lovely there.

Do you have enough pixels to do a daily-sized image of just the left hand (well, upper half of the left hand side) frond/limb/whatever it is? It's that little bit more vividly sharp, and I'm curious what it would look like on its own.

i have enough pixels, at least for display, and when cropping i considered doing that, but was too tired to make up my mind, *heh*.

i think it'll look better compositionally, but it won't get all the colour. i was more into the colour last night.

I can certainly understand wanting the colour!

Though I think separating the left and right halves will give two stronger compositions and on aggregate conserve all the colour. :)

I had no home DSL access for a couple weeks there, so I turned comments off to make the comment spam manageable. They're back on now.
