on 2009-09-06 01:46 (UTC)Or maybe all lenses are such crap these days that having top-end hardware doesn't count. (I was actually thinking about that the other day -- a modern camera factory could have the last thing on the line be a series of pictures of a uniformly-illuminated dot grid at different zooms and f-stops , and then burn into memory the transforms necessary to make the camera linear. If they have enough processing power to follow faces in realtime...
