so i am testing this journal application, since i've gotten real lazy with my private journalling, mainly because i've never put it into a useful system, and am tired of searching with grep through years of text files. though there is something to be said for that; i'm not sure i should change it.
the program is viJournal 1.9 (the last version that works with tiger; i am coming to believe it's time to upgrade to leopard). it allegedly can post my entries to LJ; i am about to check that. how will it handle images, i wonder? well, let's see.
ah, it makes a placeholding link. good. (i have no idea whom to credit for this lovely sentiment, or i would.)
for the most part it's not intuitive, and nothing is at my fingertips that i would want there to be. like, simple text changes have hotkeys and menu items, but no separate palette. while i learn a new program i really like palettes with tool tips ; they help me learn the hotkeys much faster than going to the menus.
