so much for thinking the snow would go away, as usual. no, we got more. 15 inches when i went outside. by the end of my walk, i was up to my knees in snow. awesome. i don't think i've ever seen it higher here (and it's not wet, heavy snow now, because it got quite cold overnight, so we haven't even had a power outage).

5th day of happiness meme:

SNOW.

I thought y'all didn't get much snow where you are. Shows what I know!

Pretty!

we don't. we usually get snow only 2-3 times in winter, of which one might be something of a dump that stays around for max a week, constantly melting. this is more of a dump than usual.

that's the only reason i got excited, *heh*.

it's really pretty now that it's gone cold; it's all sparkly in the moonlight.

Wowza. Hope it stays cold, or all that will melt...

all that will melt within the week, i expect; that's what it usually does. i am hoping it won't melt via rain, which is also what it usually does -- that'd do a lot of damage. gradual melt via sunshine would be nice, but...

oh my.
Awakens my urge to run away to the tropics.

For a dump snow, it certainly is pretty. I like the big snows that let you stay home, and then politely melt quickly.

If it didn't do that pretty regularly for geologic/botanic values of pretty regularly, the south end of the island would have different vegetation.

Glad you get to enjoy the snow; not glad Spirit of the West never released "We are the People of the Frozen North", because it would be entirely perfect for such occasions.

Here in Toronto, it's 8 C and has just finished raining. :)
