every time i drive by this guy (he sits just off the island highway) i think of you. so this time i actually stopped while it was still (barely) daylight), before he disappears again for the winter.

OmG!! Is that a real bird? It is so perfect it looks like a statue!

I have never seen an eagle up close, but there is a wildlife refuge across the street from me and supposedly there are bald eagles in there. I hope to see some flying around in the next couple years.

oh no, it's a statue; carved from wood, and painted.

you should go to the refuge; we have several here, and it's great to get real close to the birds.
