rain rain ... wait a second. it cleared up! so i went to home depot to buy lumber for building the paramour's bed.

canada post now wants the person to whom a package is addressed to pick it up zirself. this is cumbersome when two people who live in the same household frequently pick up each other's packages.

i backslid (without shame, even) and watched the debate, largely because it is more fun to watch the daily show and colbert if one's seen the original. ah, i am so politically evolved, eh. now i want a tshirt that says "i'd vote for THAT one".

mccain's whole demeanour expresses his dislike for obama, though he's tried to moderate it somewhat from the first debate. i've seen peole claim "that one" was just a slip, but even though i can see that argument (and we really can't know), he can't afford to even make slips like that. certainly not when his rallies have become pure aggression.

but hey, i am glad he makes them. dig, baby, dig your own political grave.

I agree that John McCain should be called to account for his callous incivility toward a fellow Senator and his (perhaps inadvertent) symbolic dehumanization of an African American in a time when portions of Sarah Palin's stump speeches seem designed to incite his supporters into a violent frenzy. All the same, I don't think that it is for right-thinking white folk to be the ones to throw around hate speech as a demonstration of "ironic" empowerment and solidarity. I would prefer a T-shirt that says "His name is BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA" in three inch high block letters.

i see your point, but hey, i like irony.

His name is BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

see, i don't think that would send the same message, because right-wingers are using his full name to allude to him allegedly being muslim and a terrorist friend.

maybe a combination of both, and try to reclaim his middle name at the same time (because it's a damn shame what they're doing with it). what i'd really want to say would be too much text for a tshirt. ah well, i live in canada, it's irrelevant anyway.

btw, i think law enforcement should look into those stump speeches. i think it's recklessly dangerous of the mccain campaign to do this.

There's a Facebook group called "My Middle Name is Hussein" that is trying to do just that.
