Looks like the air holes from sand crabs, but I'm not sure. Still, very pretty!

That's what I was thinking, too, except in several places they seem to follow paths, which makes it more likely to be something making holes while moving about. But if so, it's somehow managing to do it without leaving footprints.

Or maybe those *are* the footprints.

The lines look too straight to be footprints. Perhaps something burrowing just under the surface, sending up a probe ever so often?
