i've had the title for a long time. we specialize in titles in this house (while we never actually write the books or the software for which the titles are designed).

i am not sure because there were no animals near these tracks, but considering where they were, and the ones i've seen before, i'd guess small whelks.

Cool. They remind me more than a little of the tracks left by critters at ground level in the snow around here (which become visible only in the spring when the snow melts).

I'd want to mirror-flip the image, because the left side makes a more interesting front cover, and the right side has a slightly bland bit near the bottom where you'd put the blurb :-).
