the montréal project this is the yarn i am taking with me. it'll be a freeformy something of spirals and sprays; maybe a long vest. freeform is ideal for the bus; lots of small pieces as the mood strikes me. the colours are not quite right; the white balance was off under the light in my office and i didn't notice until i had taken the battery out of the camera for recharging. and now i am too lazy to fiddle with the gimp. i'll take another picture tomorrow in daylight. everything is slightly more cyan-shifted in reality, and the reds are not quite as intense.

Yummy! As soon as I saw your itinerary I wondered how much yarn you'd be taking with you. I hope your knitting and travel are both wonderful (ok, as wonderful as 80 hrs. on a bus can be, anyway).

This reminds me...I guess I'll bring a bragging bag of knitted things to show fellow knitters.

one cool thing about freeform with little pieces is that any little piece doesn't take much time. and i am coming to learn to just fit that in between all the other things i do. it feels like less of an effort to make a small scrumble than to knit or crochet several rows on a much larger project, probably because the fact that the scrumble in itself is complete makes it count more in a small way, and makes me feel more accomplished.
