not raining!

*whew*. just in time, because i was out of wood with which to feed the stove. so i spent some time cutting down old boat wood into manageable pieces (the decking burns especially nicely; it's probably fir).

walked around with the catlings for a bit, since we hadn't been out and about for a while (due to it raining so much every day). all 6 of them joined in. also harvested the last of my tomatoes. except for the green ones. i should look up whether "fried green tomatoes" is something i might like to eat.

other than that i baked raisin-chocolate cookies but did something wrong, which resulted in an entire sheet of very moist cookie dough-cake, all run together. oh well, it scrapes off nicely, and the taste appears unaffected.
