ok, it's decided. i am going to montréal. on the bus. 80 hours straight. without net access. i'll buy the tickets tomorrow -- booking roundtrip saves an extra $10, woohoo. :)

anyone want anything specific from BC that you're lusting after? anything that would survive the trip intact, that is. :) nanaimo bars are unfortunately right out.

Fantastic! I'm sure the event and visiting will be wonderful, and hopefully you can get some sleep and peaceful reading time and so on on the bus.

If you've got a laptop with wireless you might occasionally be able to find something to quickly connect to at a station.

The longest bus trip I ever took was from Springfield to New Jersey, in 1982 with Maria. I simply can't sleep sitting up, so it was a very tiring bit. Especially when Greyhound made everyone get off the bus at Cleveland at 4 am for a one-hour stopover.

80 hours? Couldn't do it.
