Sometimes I think half the problems in the world could be cured if people could remember, really remember, how hard it is to be in some positions. Most of us have been in bad spots and could be again... but it's easy to forget that when we're flush and healthy and safe. We should try harder.

So glad I didn't have kids when I was that poor.
