i love it when stephen colbert has a guest on who has no clue what he really stands for.

dear michael smerconish -- i won't be buying your book lambasting the political correctness that's allegedly strangling america, because if your research is so shoddy that you don't even know what colbert's shtick is, why should anyone trust your research for the book? though honestly, it's not like i was actually tempted to buy it -- but i might have gotten it from the library. not gonna happen.

in actual news, i am well -- the *poing* is here for a week and we're having a blast as usual.

I watched that sequence with my mouth agape. Rarely have I been treated to such a concentrated display of failing to get it. I was looking desperately for some sign that he realized Colbert was taking him apart, but ... nothing.

I was scratching my head the entire time, trying to figure out if that guy was for real or not.

I had heard that there is a small right-wing audience for the show who don't get the joke, that pretty much proves it.
