ah yes. that's what it is. what makes me so scared of bush. i grew up with calvinism. and if i had anything to say about it, it would never be mentioned in the same breath with christ.

I heard Ron talking about this yesterday on NPR. He very nicely summed up my opinion of Bush and fundamentalists in general. And it scares the hell out of me, too.

The difference between the Bush government and the Talabon is the level of violence they are willing to commit. Given time, the Bush government would become just as severe. People MUST be punished for their ungodliness.

What bothers me more than Bush, though, is the worrisome fact that half the American people love him, his policies and his religious views.

That is the scariest thing I've read in a long time, especially because it rings true. And it's not Bush that I'm scared about, it's the fact that there are so many people who scorn the "reality based culture" that he speaks of.
