no fever right now, though it feels like it might start up again towards evening. much less gunk in the lungs and sinuses, and i can actually move without coughing every time. though now of course every muscle in my torso hurts from all the contractions, *rolls eyes*. mostly feel exhausted; went outside to check out the garden, and harvesting a few tomatoes left me wanting to fall right back into bed. might move to the couch to watch the first season of alias which came from zip.ca. but first must wash hair, because it hurts.

or maybe first eat some grapes straight off the vine. i am so proud of these grapes!

tomatoes -- small roma of unknown cultivar, lemon boy, juliet (tiny cherry), and grape (also unknown cultivar; i should really stop buying tomato plants at the local supermarket); grapes (this is a actual wine grape, not a table grape, and this is the first year i've taken care enough of it to bear, and wow, does it ever bear!), calendula and chickweed (which i use to make salve/lotion -- they're both vulneraries; great for people who play rough with their ex-feral ex-tom cats). chickweed is also good just to eat, in salad.

oh, and tom delay was indicted. finally. and he resigned as house majority leader. here's hoping this will be the death blow to his corrupt political career.

and it seriously looks like rain outside. yay, rain.

what pleasant things to wake up to while sick!

OOoh, grapes!

I am at the point in the illness where being idle annoys me and being busy makes me tired and cranky. Well, crankier, to be strictly honest. I hadn't realized how tired this thing made me until I went to watch auditions of a play at our community theater and was too tired to get up and admodish the annoying small child running up and down the aisles. I assure you, this is not like me at all.

beautiful harvest

Wow, I really wish our grapevine were producing already.

Do I detect sort of a 'reaping what you sow' theme today? :)

Now there's a picture. Hm. Grapes... *drifts off into fruit contemplation*

Also, I've been fighting gleeful viciousness all day about DeLay. Heh.

And also I love the lighting on the grapes.
