I found White Queen entirely too painful, but it is a good book.

Is your Carmen Dog a new printing? I'd like to read it, but the library doesn't have a copy and I don't have the money to order any books right now. If it's a new printing, I can whine to the library and have them buy it.

Obernewtyn is pretty good; I like its sequels better.

I've heard really good things about Revelation Space as a space opera; it's one of the ones that I'll likely read next when I get tired of reading Hugo winners. I've similarly heard good things about Spin State, but haven't picked up a copy of it yet.

Haven't actually read any of those....
