i sold my canoe when i left washington for canada, and man, i miss it a lot. yeah, i did put off buying a new one because the boat was always "just around the corner", but i should just get another one, shouldn't i. or a small sea kayak, since that's actually more useful out here; most of the small streams are just not navigable, but there's all that ocean out there.

yeah, the island in general is really "me". i should have been born here. :)
