yeah, it's a lovely place. it feels weird to never have been here at all. makes me wonder how many other cool places we're missing because they don't have widely publicized access -- living in the US for so long has made me wary of just driving down random, rutted paths because being greeted with a shotgun is not one of my favourite memories; i really need to untrain that again. i've found another lake a bit further south that nobody even on blogs seems to know much about, and it's much too large to be all private.

this lake will be good for lots of outings; one can easily spend all day here exploring the shoreline.
