renaissance poisson

my spoiler policy is generally pretty lenient since i tend to come to shows much later than most people, and know i can't possibly stay unspoiled. unfortunately people are likely to spoiler the parts that i like to figure out for myself (issues relating to arcs, overall development), while keeping mum about specific episodic stuff, which isn't a big deal for me. it also depends on the show -- if there is an element of whodunit, i prefer not to know ahead of time, but most shows i watch are more about process, where spoilers are not that relevant. however, i am not into emotional trauma even by proxy. i got blindsided by gideon's trauma, and that wasn't pleasant. so knowing whether hotchner (and/or his family) get hurt by the reaper is something i don't mind hearing in advance -- i am now far enough to know he got to hotchner, but i fear there will be more even though his family has been moved; everything seems primed to push hotchner to his limits, and there has been foreshadowing about haley contacting her mother; i expect the reaper will find them.

but yeah, if i really wanted to know, i'd read wikipedia. :) i gotta remind myself frequently that i cannot go there to look up anything, because people go into totally obsessive detail for their favourite shows and spoil every little bit.
