thanks for the recommendation. i watched a few episodes of eureka earlier this month, but couldn't really get into it. i often have trouble with tv "science fiction", since it tends to be peppered with pseudo-science. now that i think back, it bothered me also that so many of the characters seemed to be caricatures; i really only liked henry and the guy who runs cafe diem. it seemed like the show hadn't made up its mind whether it wanted to be serious drama or comedy; that's a difficult combination to meld.

but i'll give it another chance when i am in a different mood; lots of shows have grown on me even when i didn't much care for the initial episodes. ghods, the first episode of dexter was really bad; stiff acting and a lot of over-the-top caricatures as well.
