once again, from butchart garden's japanese section. it's raining again today, so it seems appropriate. alas it also reminds me of how annoying i find this habit of tossing coins in every bit of water. at least at butchart they remove them now and then so they don't continuously poison the environment. fountains are for throwing coins if one is actually superstitious, not streams.

walklog: southgate mall -> bold knight -> chase river estuary (the bluff side).

we picked up a book haul, and had early dinner at smitty's before walking. now we're back to rain rain rain.

It seems to be a particularly NorAm habit - I noticed when travelling that the number of coins in any given wet place was directly proportional to the number of NorAm visitors. And yes, some of those places seemed either thoughtless or clueless.

I'm also seriously opposed to people throwing coins into live bodies of water - it's so creepy.

But anyway... *melt* I can almost hear the water in this photo.
