are on.

i suspect the whole thing of being an exercise in futility if not an outright farce, but just in case it isn't, i rather vote for a real person who might possibly make a difference instead of troll-n-lulz-boy jameth -- though i appreciate the ... irony should he actually get elected. *rolls eyes*.

i'm not voting for anyone i know personally, but for somebody who's made a good impression on me during the nasty events from strikethrough on as a calm, eloquent, diplomatic speaker who at the same time takes no shit: [livejournal.com profile] rm.

I've know [livejournal.com profile] rm for about ten years, and I think she's an excellent choice; she's got a grip on the realities of running a business as well as community-building and -maintaining, and a lot of experience with reasoning with people.

Yeah, she was my first choice too.

[livejournal.com profile] rm has my vote too, FWIW, which I am fairly certain is very little. My reasons are similar to yours.

I dislike [livejournal.com profile] jameth surprisingly strongly considering he's just some guy on the internet I've never interacted with directly, but I can't foresee many particularly serious consequences if he's elected. If he behaves like a brat and irritates the professionals at SUP, they'll find a way to deal with him or ignore him. And given the fiasco over ending free accounts, it's pretty obvious that the Advisory Board has no practical influence whatever, so I am not getting worked up about the possibility of an idiot getting elected.

i have a strong dislike of "professional" trolls (people who treat the internet as if it were their personal zoo in which they should taunt the animals), because they're destructive. and while i don't think he'd make a nuisance of himself on the board (his type of bratty troll needs an audience, and he wouldn't have any), i don't care to see this type of behaviour rewarded with a trip to istanbul. *bleagh*.
