i woke up filled with energy, it seemed, after a really great dream featuring a house-sized aquarium with the most amazing variety of creatures, complete with a tool-using striped prawn.

the energy petered out while i was trying to understand how come some feminists think dismissing other women's experience is somehow a good thing when all the while they're so loudly complaining about men doing this to them. this is precisely why i left the feminist movement behind lo those many years ago. plus ça change... now i am just sitting here, propping up my eyelids with toothpicks, and want to go back to bed.

no more discussing feminism. it apparently saps my energy faster than anything else; the same thing happened yesterday.

Funny how different those threads read, depending on your perspective. (Me, I thought the fact that it was a *rant*, not a discussion, was obvious. Your mileage---and others---clearly differed.)

You know, I think my suffragette great grandma would likely smack the crap out of a lot of today's so-called feminists. It's by and large depressing to discuss these days.

i am not talking about that ginmar thread (though if this had been the first time i had read her, i would have interpreted it the same way you do; how she reacts after those rants makes that no longer work for me).
