moss mountains in elfland

05-27 planta park and neighbourhood, 4.15 km, 1:42, elevation gain 346m. saw 2 deer who as usual in that general area were not very shy. i still find it odd that i see lots more deer in that part of the city than down here near us, but that probably only means those deer are thoroughly urbanized (and of course not hunted). lots of camas in planta park, even some death camas. the garry oak are leafing out. small park, but several squiggly trails in it.
i'm glad the paramour's "one new recipe a week" project got me out of the house (zie picks the recipe and cooks, i shop for the esoteric ingredients), because otherwise i might not have walked but read instead.
