i wonder whether telus could get away with traffic shaping for resellers, especially those who cater to the gaming crowd. i also had the impression that telus was eager to get into it with big content providers. all of this would speak against traffic shaping. i dunno. i'm gonna try another client today that can mangle header information, to see whether there is something to see.

thanks for the uniserve tip! as it so happens, i just yesterday looked into them because i read on some broadband boards that they were preferable to telus in several aspects. alas, while their upload speed is a little higher, they cap at 10GB, while telus right now caps theoretically at 30GB (and practically doesn't cap, i hear). it's a bit too iffy for me to switch, but i'm gonna dig a little more.
