Wow, I've never seen those before. Those are now my second favorite flower (fuchsias being the first). (Hm, well, I have to fit proteas in there somewhere, too. Maybe my third favorite.)

I used to use this on livejournal as well, but once I swapped from MS Outlook as my e-mail client to Thunderbird it stopped working. At first I really missed it, but by now I guess I got used to clicking the reply link and responding on the website again.
I used gmail for receiving my comments and replies for a while, as I noticed that reply-from-email did work there - but I couldn't get used to how all comments got threaded into one huge list there back then so..

That's smart thinking, bout the subjects! I am too lazy (or too un-inspired) to do so I guess ;-)

I read something on DW that they were looking into comment threading for gmail as well.. I think. I have no idea /where/ I read that tho - if I by accident run into it again I'll let ya know!

Prefilling the subject makes a lot of sense. It's not like people fix even deliberately changed subjects that are no longer descriptive, anyway. And in the long run it might encourage people to choose better titles for their posts.

(What happens in gmail threading if one posts several times with the same title and gets comments with autofill subjects? Or is that caveat posteor? (my latin sucks)).

That's gorgeous! (I love all the pictures you post, but this is the first one I've had to comment on. :) ) Thanks!
