rust-brown bark of the arbutus tree peels backto reveal the new lime green layer

cleared out the wood stack today, in preparation for the landlord building a carport / work shop between the missile silo and the shack. found termites, but they're just pacific dampwood termites and therefore not a danger for the shack (they like rotting wood, and don't attack the sound stuff).

also cut up a lot of the smaller boat building waste wood. we will have much kindling this year. saved some bits of oak, teak, and gumwood to commit art.

and afterwards i took a dip in my wading pool to cool off. perfect. bacchus was a little concerned about me being immersed in water, and so he stuck around and watched carefully.
