| the food country had an embarrassment of new riches; 9 differently coloured variants. so pretty. they also had a lot of mums and coleus, but i don't like coleus much. but i saw another gaillardia that i like ('oranges and lemons'); i might go tomorrow and pick it up. fall discount time has arrived -- time to scout all the local plant places. |
the dark burgundy and the dark-veined ones put me back in the mind of creating a goth garden. after i came back from farthingparty (where i got the idea) i made a list of plants i'd like in it, but then the project stalled along with all my other garden projects. might be time to restart thinking about it and see whether i can pick up some starter plants cheap.
