the only thing i can think of that would have lee so totally DONE with kara

I've been nowhere near as hard-thinking as you about BSG, and I put this down simply to the fact that she left the fleet--since, as screwed up as she's sometimes been, she's never really lost her commitment to Galactica. As a viewer I was surprised that she chose to be one of the settlers (surprised in terms of her character, though I wasn't surprised in terms of the writers wanting to do this to make for a more interesting later plot). For Lee, whose relationship with her has been strongly intertwined with both of their relationships to Galactic, it would seem to be an abandonment and betrayal of family and mission and who she is (or who he thinks she is), I think.
