recent craftiness

finally got my latest yarn projects uploaded and annotated. i've been muchly into hats, since they're easy to give away. :) unfortunately i don't have a mannequin head to display them, so this balloon/pot arrangement has to do for now.

my friend! if you look at the top right part of any of your projects page on Rav, you will now see a SHARE THIS button. Click it, and further in the little thing that slides into view, click 'share this page'. A drop down will appear, which lets you choose between 3 options, one of which is 'public - visible to all'. If you choose this, the link to the page which you just made public will automagically appear for you to C/P somewhere else, like so:

(I made this one public a mn ago to check the process so I coudl describe it to you accurately)

The button which said 'share this' before now will show a little green earth/sphere icon ans say 'shared'. TaDa!

It's new, though i can't say when from; I noticed it on my own about two weeks back, without having heard of it before or seen it announced anywhere. :)

thanks! i am really loving the slouchy one; it's very comfortable. wore it out today.

Wow, I thought it would take more than one day to wear it out. ;-)

So far, I have never made a garment (unless scarves count) because I am terrible at maintaining even tension and I have a feeling I'll not be able to get things to a wearable size. I should just dive in and, if the thing is the wrong size, just give it away to someone for whom it's not wrong.

or frog it, which is much easier in crochet. also, i find it easier to maintain tension when i crochet than when i knit. some of it also comes with practice; i definitely notice that my tension is sloppy if i haven't knit anything for months, but then it comes together again.

but hey, giving handmade things away is also fun.
